Lashes in the corner of the eyes

Lashes in the corner of the eyes

Lashes that fall out prematurely are often a problem for both clients and stylists. People who wear extended lashes, often complain that they can't be happy with their new look for a while because they quickly lose lashes from the corners, which means that the effect of the beginning modelling is lost. Fortunately this can be avoided if the client and the stylist follow a few simple steps.

The lashes in the corner- on the inside and outside are often thinner, shorter and weaker than the rest of the lashes. Therefore the reason for them prematurely falling out could be the wrong selection of fake lashes to put on the natural lashes of the client. The stylist, first of all, should pick the right length, thickness and volume. In the corners of the inside she should not stick longer lashes than the natural ones.

The stuck on lash or clump (if we are using the volume method) should be the same length as the natural lash (sometimes even shorter). It’s safer to use up to 7mm length. The used lashes should not be thicker than 0,10 if we are using a 2D application or 1:1 and thicker than 0,07 if we are doing a 3D application or more. If we are using a bigger volume, the amount of lashes in the clump also their thickness should be prepared depending on the condition of the natural lashes. If we are using a volume of 7-15D, the few inside corner lashes should have a much thinner volume around 4D, and the thickness of the clump should not be over 0,05. If we are working on a smaller volume and are using lashes thicker than 0,10 in the corner lashes we can decrease this to 0,07 or use one lash with 0,10 thickness.

The darker and shorter the lashes, the better. Of course depending on what’s needed. We should also be careful with the outside lashes. Not weigh down the natural lashes with too much volume and make sure that they are not too long. Even in what’s called the ‘cat even modelling we always go down to shorter lashes in the outside corners. It’s absolutely not a mistake if we stick down lashes shorter than the natural ones. Thanks to this the job will look aesthetic and also this will lower the risk of the premature falling out of the last lashes.

It’s also possible that the lashes on the outside will get damaged during sleep. Sleeping on the side or with the face in the pillow causes that especially longer lashes in the outside corners, bend, change shape which causes them to prematurely fall out. You shouldn’t touch your lashes without purpose. “Playing with them” or even brushing them too much in the wrong direction, can cause the fake lash to separate from the natural one. This is the responsibility of the client. If we follow these steps, we will have longer lasting lashes without any loss, and the stylist will have more fully satisfied clients.
